Hi all,
I realise this is out of school hours (and a Friday night at that) but wanted to share for those of you that are particularly interested in platypus / stormwater pollution impacts. I only just heard about it – sorry for late notice.
The Bacchus Marsh Platypus Alliance warmly invites you to the online launch of their brand new animation on how people can protect their local platypuses!
The animation both beautiful and informative. They hope it will help communicate key messages around yards and streets being connected into platypus habitat, and the importance of picking up loopy litter and keeping toxins out of stormwater systems.
What: Platypus Next Door: Animation launch, talk and Q&A
When: This Friday 14th August, 7-8pm
Where: Online via Zoom
Registration: To receive Zoom link, register at https://events.humanitix.com/platypus-animation-launch-2026 (you’ll then be automatically emailed Zoom link).
Facebook link (in case you’d like to share it): www.facebook.com/events/2102972923903578
Once launched, the animation will be available for all to share.
If they find future funding, they’d love to produce another aimed toward responsible fishing, and avoiding construction waste entering platypus habitat!
