Some of you who have been part of River Detectives for a few years will be aware that Deakin University is conducting really interesting research into the presence and prevalence of pesticides in our waterways. This has been historically under-researched so Brady Hamilton’s PhD is highly valuable.
Some River Detectives schools are part of the volunteer network collecting monthly samples for analysis in the Deakin University laboratory.
To help inform his research, Brady is now circulating a survey open to everyone over the age of 18 to explore perspectives about pesticides in the Australian community. Community perspectives are important when it comes to shaping future research, catchment activities and policy direction around pesticides in Australia.
He would love your help, if you feel it is appropriate, to circulate the survey to your school community (or whoever you see fit). This flyer can be easily put in newsletters or on facebook pages, etc
Please note that all responses are collected and recorded anonymously. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
