This video was shared with me by colleagues at the North Central CMA who attended the Floodplain Management Australia national conference in Melbourne last week. They were blown away by young St Joseph’s students presenteing their project to develop an early flood warning system for Eugowra to the room of expert adults from around the country.
I just had a share the video with you all!
Check out the inspiring video here that is such as great example of student-led inquiry-based practical learning, community collaboration and advocacy, innovation to create an early flood warning system and a powerful way for these students to alleviate some of the trauma they lived through as a result of the unprecedented 2022 floods that hit their town. AMAZING.
We’ll put the video onto the River Detectives website.
