Would you like to be part of the River Detectives program again in 2026?
An ‘Apply Now’ link is available on the River Detectives website homepage so you can let us know your intentions for next year.
We require ALL current River Detective schools to complete the registration/evaluation/ process regardless of your future plans. This will help us evaluate the 2025 program for annual reporting, plan for 2026 and organise the pick-up/refresh of water quality kits.
The River Detectives program has helped just under one hundred Victorian schools immerse themselves in citizen-science during 2025 and achieve wonderful school and community projects. We would love to have you join us again in 2026.
If you are changing roles or schools, we’d appreciate you encouraging colleagues to take the program on so it can continue in your school.
We understand that staffing and programs at your school may not be finalised until the 2026 year begins so registrations will be taken up until mid February. It is not a ‘first in-best dressed’ situation. Capacity for 2026 may vary across the regions so all applications will be assessed carefully to ensure we can support as many schools as possible.
