SUMMARY:River Detectives art exhibition
DESCRIPTION:On June 8\, River Detectives students from four schools in the Cohuna area gathered at Treetops Scout Camp for a day of environmental and cultural learning with North Central CMA staff\, Barapa Barapa Traditional Owners\, Parks Victoria\, Native Fish Australia\, Turtles Australia and ceramicist Ann Ferguson.  They enjoyed four rotational activities; weaving and boomerang painting\, environmental water and it’s benefits for fauna\, macroinvertebrate sampling and clay sculptures. \nAfter the event their amazing art work was glazed and fired and is now on display during the month of July in the Gateway to Gannawarra Information Centre\, Cohuna before being returned to the student artists.  The display can be viewed along with photos and quotes from the school event Mon – Fri 9am to 5pm\, 10am – 2pm weekends and public holidays.
